Another year, another visit to the Carolina Renaissance Festival!
Sunday, November 9, 2025
10am – 5pm
16445 Poplar Tent Road
Huntersville, NC 28078
Our RenFest is one of the largest in the country: a 25-acre storybook village in the woods. This will be Celtic Music Weekend, so get ready to hear performances by Magnus & Maggie, CRAIC, and the Reelin Rogues. We’ll also sample the brews (if you are so inclined), browse the artisans’ handmade wares, grab some food, and take in the other performances.

Costumes
You are encouraged, but not required, to come in costume – see the photo above to get an idea of our costumes from last year. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended. If you don’t have a costume of your own, rentals are available at the Festival gates. If your costume includes a prop weapon, please carefully read the Festival’s requirements for entry.
Tickets & Costs
Tickets are $38 per person, and are now date-specific so they can better control crowds. If tickets sell out for this date, you won’t be able to buy them at the door; however, date-specific tickets can’t be refunded or exchanged unless the Festival can’t open due to extreme circumstances. So use your best judgment when timing your purchase, and please do feel encouraged to check in with the group on Discord if you’re uncertain.
Parking is free. Prices for food and drinks at the Festival are what you would expect at an amusement park or similar special event. The artisan market is full of handmade goods by skilled craftspeople, and items are priced accordingly. Note that some vendors only accept cash.
Weather
The Festival is open rain or shine, unless extreme weather or unsafe conditions beyond the Festival’s control inhibit its ability to operate safely. However, going when the weather is bad is not a great experience, especially when most of us will be driving 2+ hours in each direction. If the forecast looks particularly grim, we will discuss our options via Discord.
Travel
Click here for driving directions and guidelines from the Festival. Please read these rather than just winging it with your GPS! Traffic outside the Festival can be extremely congested sometimes. I recommend stopping at the Cabarrus County rest areas off I-85 (where there are real bathrooms) on your way to and from the event.
If you would like to carpool, feel free to use the meetup channel in the Discord server to make plans with other members.
Accessibility
The Festival is held in an outdoor, wooded setting. Festival pathways include grass, dirt, and graveled lanes. Accessible parking and ADA-compliant portable restrooms are available. Wheelchairs, electric mobility scooters, and wagons are available to rent on a first-come, first served basis.

I’ve tried to cover all of our bases here, but if you have any questions that haven’t already been answered by this post, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m looking forward to seeing you there – don’t forget to RSVP above!
