For our casual in-person meetup this month, let’s visit the festival happening at Starrlight Mead. It’s a celebration of mead, but also a “mini Renaissance faire” of sorts, with live music, sword-fighting, an artisan market, and food trucks. You can find a list of vendors and performers here. There’s a variety of crafts on offer, including chainmail, woodwork, leather goods, local honey, and more.

The event is free to attend unless you decide to buy food/drinks or purchase something in the market. If you want to come in costume, you totally can, but you don’t have to. Please feel encouraged to come even if you don’t want to drink alcohol – we will mostly be hanging out and exploring the festival.
